First Chinese MES Day for Pharma to provide MES case studies by AstraZeneca and Novartis

On March 31, 2010, Bayer Technology & Engineering (Shanghai) [BTES] and Werum Software & Systems will host the first PAS-X MES Day for the pharmaceutical industry in China. This one-day MES conference follows to the motto “MES – Enabling Secure Operator Guidance and Operational Excellence in Pharma Manufacturing”. Insights into application and benefits of MES systems

Highlights of the event at the Citi Tower in Shanghai will be two MES case study presentations held by representatives from AstraZeneca and Novartis: AstraZeneca will provide practical insight into the first-time Pharma MES installation in China which took place in its Wuxi site in the Jiangsu Province. Novartis gives an introduction into their full scope MES employment in Singapore and will share experiences on the day-by-day usage of MES software. An MES software live demonstration of Werum’s Chinese language PAS-X will give participants a chance to get to know the functionality, as well as the look and feel of PAS-X.
The conference will include an overview of regulatory trends in China and an introduction to GAMP 5, the guideline for validation of computerized systems. This presentation will be given by Tony Margetts, one of the main authors of GAMP 5 and a renowned, internationally acknowledged consultant in computer systems validation and compliance.
The MES Day offers a unique opportunity for Chinese pharmaceutical companies to get a taste of PAS-X, learn about users’ experiences, and meet officials from Werum and BTES.
